OVERVIEW

Dana has been a consultant in the commercial real estate field for over 25 years.  Her experience has included Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, asbestos surveys, compliance auditing, health and safety regulations, wetlands evaluations, noise studies, and preparing technical reports related to TSCA, NEPA, RCRA, CERCLA, NESHAP, CAA, SWDA, and the Clean Water Act. She also has extensive experience in a wide variety of environmental oversight and site assessments, including all aspects of asbestos investigation and abatement, asbestos design, indoor air quality, and operation and maintenance manuals related to large fuel storage tank systems.

HIGHLIGHTED EXPERIENCE

  • Phase I and II ESAs - Conducted, prepared, and/or reviewed over 1,500 Phase I and Phase II ESAs throughout the US. Key clients included BB&T (Truist), Synovus, Harbert Realty, City of Birmingham, City of Huntsville, and City of Montgomery, and developers seeking HOME or low-income housing tax credits.
  • Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Environmental Assessments (EAs) – Conducted, prepared, and/or reviewed HUD EAs for the Walker County Housing Authority and Pratt Mill Redevelopment (conversion of former industrial site to a mixed income residential development).
  • Property Condition Assessments - Project Manager responsible for coordinating and reviewing PCAs for various clients throughout the US.
  • Asbestos Related Services - Project Manager responsible for coordinating and conducting asbestos inspections and preparing asbestos abatement specifications for numerous projects. Participated in pre-bid meetings and OAC meetings as required until successful completion. Key clients included the University of Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham, City of Birmingham, Children’s Hospital of Alabama, and the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
  • Radon Sampling for Multifamily Housing - Project Manager and Radon Professional responsible for collection, analysis, and reporting of over 20 multifamily projects in accordance with the 2020 MAP Guide and ANSI MAMF-17 (rev. 1/21) standards.
  • Hazardous Materials Services - Project Manager responsible for coordinating and conducting hazardous materials surveys and preparing abatement specifications for numerous buildings across the UAB campus, including McCallum, Volker Hall, Business and Engineering Complex, Education Building, and the demolition of Townhouse and the Worrell Building.
  • Indoor Air Quality, City of Birmingham, FS #27 - Project Manager responsible for the design and implementation of a sampling protocol to address employee concerns of poor indoor air quality. Following completion of the sampling, reporting, and remediation design, participated in various stakeholders meetings to explain the findings and action plan. Conducted follow-up sampling once personnel had returned to the building.
  • Mold Remediation Design and Oversight - Project Manager responsible for design and inspections related to a large-scale mold abatement project in an operational hotel. Key clients included Daniel Corporation and Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
